So just now was my husbandry for my Laboratory Animal Science and Technology(LAST) coursework. It was my first time carrying a full grown rabbit(about 3. something KG). I had a hard time transferring the rabbits into their temporary cages because we(Nadiah, Pei Shan and me) need to clean their cages. There were a total of 8 rabbits.. I've tried carrying two;one female and another is male.
Only god knows what was I feeling that time trying to carry the rabbit in the right position-_-
I feared of carrying the rabbit in a wrong position and then it will wiggle and kick me..luckily nothing happen just now. All went well..YIPPIE!!!=D
So phobia #1 was completed..NEXT is MICE!!!!
I repeat MICE!!!!as in the long tails reminds me of lizards..EEEEEEEE!
I hesitate a few times before actually carrying the mouse by holding its tail..and it's not TIP OF THE TAIL..it's near to the mouse's feet..
After transferring a few mice..I think I prefer them to rabbits..because it's easier to transfer mice..hehee=)
2nd phobia was also completed..now left the last one which is RATS!!!
which I'm gonna handle it for next wk husbandry lab-_=
I had fun doing the whole husbandry thingy..it's just that I'm afraid of transferring the animals..I don't want to hurt them=)
While transferring the rabbits, I was like talking to the rabbit..I'm not crazy okay..animals understand us=)
Cleaning the whole thing includes mopping the floors and refilling their water & feed and also bedding takes a lot of time..we completed it in 3 hrs ++
k that's all for now..buhbye and take care everyone!
Good night and sweet dreams!=D
ps. BBQQQQQQQQQQQ!!!!!Saturday can't wait=D
